Included on every plan
How billing works
Billed by the hour
Usage accrues for every hour a database exists, including while it is stopped — a stopped instance still holds its storage and its endpoint. Delete it and billing stops that day.
High availability priced separately
An HA cluster runs a primary and replicas across failure domains, so it is charged at 2.4× the single-node plan rate rather than being folded into the base price.
Read replicas
Each replica bills as an additional node at its plan rate. You can add and remove them at any time from the dashboard or the API.
These are launch prices. Final pricing is set after measuring infrastructure cost, backup retention, support burden, licensing and HA overhead — if that moves a number, we will tell existing customers before it changes for them.
